LYCRA Shines in Cannes With New Beachwear Fabrics

MareDiModa___MG_1626Innovative fabrics created by Italian textile producers utilizing LYCRA® fibers were a highlight of the 2015 edition of MarediModa|IntimodiModa held in Cannes, France, from Nov. 3-5, 2015. The trade show, in its 14th year, is a premier destination for the beachwear and lingerie markets, and draws a large number of international exhibitors and visitors every year.

At the show, LYCRA cutting-edge fibers—such as LYCRA Sport, LYCRA Xtra Life™ and LYCRA Beauty—were utilized in its partner companies’ leading products. Exciting new beachwear fabrics for 2017 featuring LYCRA include offerings in Brugnoli’s Unforgettable line, Eurojersey’s Tessuti Sensitive® Fabrics and the debut of Maglificio Ripa’s new fabric named J3290. One of Europe’s major stretch fabric producers, Piave Maitex presented its extensive new fabric range, including Tecnogrip Beachwear, a new line that offers highly functional anti-slip characteristics. Tessitura Taiana introduced Re-Life, a zero-impact fabric, which can be used for ultra-sophisticated garments as well as extreme sportswear. Wegal & Tricotel presented Favola, a soft and compact microfiber, which utilizes LYCRA Beauty to enhance its shaping action. Additional Italian fabrications include Carvico’s luxurious new fabrics Beverly and Chinè; and three new fabrics by Jersey Lomellina S.p.A.—a textured 3D fabric, as well as Pepita and Pepita Light, which feature shiny Lurex effects.
