Fortune Swimwear has entered a multi-year licensing agreement with Karen Kane to create swimwear, cover-ups and activewear under the Karen Kane label. A division of Coast Style Group, Fortune Swimwear will manufacture, distribute and market the collection, which will target the better market for missy and plus sizes. The swimwear collection is set to launch for Cruise 2016 at the SwimShow in Miami, and activewear will follow for Spring ’16. Culver City, Calif.-based Fortune Swimwear has more than 20 years of experience within the missy, plus-size, and junior swim and resortwear markets. The new swimwear collection is designed to flatter a woman’s figure, with elegant draped details, and modest coverage and support. Styles include maillots, tankinis, bikinis and tunics made in striking solids and Karen Kane’s signature prints. Swimwear and coordinating cover-ups are designed to make a statement on the beach and poolside. Look for embellished details and sophisticated prints in moody blue hues, feminine florals and bold geometric designs to be highlights of the collection.
