Trimera Brands acquired Oceanfront from CIT Financial last year, and Kevin McFall has big plans for the company. McFall formerly headed up Oceanfront, and in his new position as president of Trimera Brands. he plans to double the company’s overall business over the next 18 to 24 months Considering McFall’s track record in the swimwear business-Oceanfront had reached a volume of $50 million under his direction-the goal seems more than achievable. Oceanfront has been a leader in the Junior swim market and has a strong private-label business, which includes retailers such Target, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Buckle and Forever 21. Combined with its strong portfolio of house and national brands, including the license for Champion swimwear, Oceanfront is a perfect fit for Trimera. “We have been very fortunate to partner with the largest retailers on their brands to take them into the swimwear category,” says McFall, whose specialty is direct-to-retailer brand extensions (DTRs). “Having Trimera as a partner, we can now take the company to the next level internationally.” McFall brings more than 37 years of knowledge and experience to Trimera Brands. He started in the business as a sales rep for Ocean Pacific at Lunada Bay, and has since served as president of numerous swimwear companies, including Ocean Pacific, Jones New York, Ecko, Miss Me, Candie’s/Bongo, Mudd, Champion and Oceanfront.
