With a shrewd understanding of beach culture for men, Underground Beach Club (UBC) is hitting the water this season with every design element strategically planned and constructed. “We’ve spent the last two years reverse-engineering men’s shorts,” says Jason Travis, UBC’s COO and president, who co-designs the line with Carlos Koustas. “Through fashion, fitness and technology, UBC offers swimwear that speaks to the athletic male.”

Accessories and cover-ups take on an African vibe this season. Prints evolve from tribal colors, abstracts and symbols as well as feathers, foliage, landscapes and more. Animal prints return to more naturalistic shades and patterns and the use of earthy components like straw, paper, bone, beading, metallics and leather are prevalent.
